I would say she is serving America quite well. In fact there are a number of centrist Republicans who are pleased to finally have a Congress that is willing to pass bills that impact upon their constituents. Certainly Pelosi's trip to the Middle East will be a good thing.

I would like to thank you for pointing out the fact that separation of powers does not mean that the President can do whatever he wants without reprimand.
We need more leaders like Pelosi.
Craven Community College honors legal counsel
David L. Ward Jr., New Bern attorney and Craven Community College’s legal counsel since before it had a campus, was honored by the college Friday.
A mid-day event, literally in the hall of Brock Administration Building on the 100-acre campus, brought out more than 200 people to applaud Ward’s dedication and highlight the part he played in building and growing the college. It now serves 4,500 curriculum students and nearly 10,000 continuing education students each year.
Three of the college’s four presidents – Thurman Brock, Steve Redd, and Catherine Chew – and Judge Louise Flanagan spoke of his contributions and Troy Smith, his law partner in Ward and Smith, presented the college with a $10,000 check from the firm’s associates to establish the David L. Ward Jr. Endowment for Scholarship. The other former president, Scott Ralls who now heads the state community college system, sent a letter of congratulations.
MARC HARKNESS | DESIGN: Duke Law Magazine Cover in progress
I'm working towards finalizing the cover for this issue of the Duke Law School alumni magazine. We continue our set of illustrated covers with a black and white rendering of the new Star Commons, with the Sanford Center for Public Policy in the background. To continue the concept of the Law School's international reach, we follow with overlaid images of world cities receding into the background in a two-dimensional distance... Mumbai, London, Ryadh, Vienna, Dubai, etc.
MARC HARKNESS | DESIGN: Cover shoot, Duke Law Magazine
These are some images from my photoshoot yesterday with Josh Cogan . It was a great day for shooting, despite some initial friction with a Capitol cop who told us: "You're not breaking any laws. But if you're hanging around taking pictures of vehicles, there's some people that just don't like that. There is a man over there with a rifle that has been watching you. I can't tell you what to do. But if you continue to do this, we'll probably have to hold you for an hour and a half... and that would be no fun for you." So essentially he had no authority, but was harassing us because he could.
