Cancer Survivor Searches For Precious Memento

When she lost it two years ago, Sullivan was so immersed in her third bout with cancer that she didn't have the energy to seek an answer to the mystery of what happened to the diamond-studded tennis bracelet.

Now that she has been declared cancer-free, the Haines City woman is eager to reclaim the bracelet that has such sentimental value for her.

Sullivan, 49, began running a "lost" notice in The Ledger's classified section about a month ago, offering a reward for information leading to the bracelet's recovery. Though she recently added a bold border and a row of stars, she had not received any calls in response to the notice as of Friday afternoon.

"You start to feel like you've been busted over the head over and over again," Sullivan said of her three episodes of cancer since 1999. "If I could get that (bracelet) back, it would make me feel like maybe something good could happen."

Sullivan said she lost the bracelet one afternoon in 2009. She had taken the bracelet off earlier that day before undergoing an imaging test at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa and placed it in a jewelry pouch.
