Since 1919, La Salle Peacock has resided in the Freer Gallery of Art in a dimly lit room for protecting its details. From this Thursday, however, the museum open all the shutters 12 to 17:30 every third Thursday of the month to offer visitors a better view of "subtle tonal variations and decorative" best demonstrated in natural light.
