Sizing among different brands is all over the map. I no longer buy any clothing made in China because I wear (at least what used to be) a woman's extra large, and all XL in Chinese women's clothing seems to really be large or medium.
No I don't like it at all. I have to buy what appears to be a bigger size. Like you, I also wear an extra large. But I now have to buy a 2X. It is still the same size, just marked differently. Still, I don't' like it. It makes me feel fatter than I already am!!!
I'm an extra large in the states..that makes it hard to buy stuff off the rack in Japan so check this out !!! Now no disrespect meant to Japan ...

Oh, and I'm also referring to "word sizes" (small, medium, large) rather than "numbered...
I think we use different numbers for specific sizes here.I know for example that shoe number 42 here is American number 9.
